Toby accepts instructions from solicitors and other professional clients in the usual way.

Members of the public, businesses and overseas lawyers may also instruct Toby directly under the Bar Standards Board's Public Access scheme, where the matter is suitable for direct access.

Following an initial enquiry, Toby will confirm whether the work is suitable to be conducted on a direct-access basis, provide a clear fee proposal and the terms on which instructions are accepted before any work begins.

As a Commissioner for Oaths, Toby is also able to administer oaths and take affidavits and statutory declarations.
